My name is Ryan, also known as
Ford, or Hired Help to some people. I have always had great respect for the
art of tattooing. Even in grade school I would tell my teachers, “I’m
going to be a Tattoo artist when I grow up.”
This
career choice was always discouraged by School Officials. This only made me
want it that much more.
I
started my apprenticeship with Skin & Bones Tattoo in the Fall of 2000.
I learned the most important and basic tools of the trade here.
I worked
with and learned from other artists at Vishnu Bunny Tattoo in Sioux Falls
where I began to fine tune my skills. I have always had a high demand for
custom work which led me to work at Permanent Addictions Tattoo in Sioux
Falls doing only custom tattoos. I had more artistic freedom and was able to
sharpen my own style.
I enjoy
going to tattoo conventions and talking with other artists and tattoo
enthusiasts from around the world. I have realized that there are few
limitations to this art form.
I came
back to work with Skin & Bones in the Spring of 2005 after having worked
with a number of other artists in a number of other environments. I have put
my roots down and plan to stay with Skin & bones Tattoo for a very long
time.
I’m
the clean cut, chain smoking, short guy at the shop. Ask for Ford.
